BONDO – A memorial service will be held in Bondo on Saturday, January 30 for the late Fidel Odinga, the son of Kenya’s main opposition leader Raila Odinga, who was found dead in his home near Nairobi a year ago.
Police said Fidel Castro Odinga, 41, returned home on Saturday night after an evening out drinking with friends and was found dead in his bed on Sunday.
Fidel left behind his father and mother, Raila Odinga and Ida Odinga; wife, Lwam and one son, Allay.

The late Fidel was seen by many political observers as a potential successor to his father.
The family will hold a combined service for Fidel and the 22nd anniversary of the passing of his grandfather, the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology, Bondo Town, Siaya county.
