NAIROBI, Kenya-Mr. Museveni has said he will work with the Russians! He has signed a law banning mini-skirts in Uganda, and says that he cannot kiss his wife of 41 years in public, lest he loses election in his country. As if there has been any credible election there since he came to power 28 years ago!

Here is a man who has sat in office since 1986, has no intentions of going anywhere, and continues to bash Western European powers and, while at it, eliminated virtually all dissent and presidential term limits.

There appears to be no chance of a free and fair election in Uganda as long as Mr. Museveni remains president.

Kenyans must have cause to worry about the direction

Mr. Kenyatta is taking the country, especially if Mr. Museveni, Mr. Putin, and Xi Jinping, are his best friends. Simultaneously, Kenya’s traditional allies, such as the United States, have come under intense attack recently.

In July 2013, Kenyatta’s deputy, Mr. William Ruto, stated that Kenya will not “cooperate” with countries that practice “alien mannerisms”. He was referring to the United States, whose Supreme Court had approved gay marriages at the time.

Meanwhile, president Obama, who was on his first full week’s tour of three African nations, had chosen to skip Kenya because the two top leaders were facing crimes against humanity charges at The Hague.

We want to draw two rather heavy conclusions about these issues.

First, the Kenyan people, as long as they continue to tolerate the amount of idiocy that is being peddled by the likes of Museveni, may never join the community of nations known as developed countries till the end of time.

The people must fight their own battle of personal and economic freedom and win it, by defeating despots who are bent on shackling them with poverty and authoritarianism for the duration of their lifetime.

Secondly, in June 2013, while addressing the 50th Madaraka Day Celebrations at Nyayo Stadium, Nairobi, Mr. Kenyatta publicly stated that his presidency will fail or succeed on the basis of how successful he is in handling devolution.

Well, Mr. President, we would like to state that you are right. If you fail to handle devolution, you are finished. If you are in doubt listen to the voices of members of your own coalition. Kenyans will fight for devolution with their lives. They promulgated the Constitution, in 2010, which your administration has consistently attempted to mutilate, for that purpose.

We do not believe, however, that you have any control. If at least 60 percent of corruption emanates from your office, and you cannot contain it after 10 months in office, you will not be able to do so in ten years! Why?

Because you have surrounded yourself with people who cannot see beyond the next two months. Their preoccupation is with power games that they are playing with people’s lives and money. This is the so-called supremacy battles. In other words, they are more concerned with who is more powerful than who, and who has whatever title under the sun. In other words, they are so great at majoring in the minors!

A devolved government will be a pipe dream if the MPs succeed in humiliating the County CEOs, known as Governors. They can take the flags, or the titles. These are inconsequential. But to cut funding is to hurt the electorate when you have elections coming in two years! Kenyans will be hot! White hot! You remember the Pigs outside parliament?

Nearly one half of the nation did not vote for Mr. Kenyatta. But more than two thirds, 67%, voted for devolution. You stand to lose, big time, if you do not understand that.

It would appear that Mr. Kenyatta’s attorney general, professor Githu Muigai, is effective in every way possible, except when the ultimate beneficiary is the ordinary Kenyans. Can we prove it? Absolutely.

When it came to making the case for the president when his election was disputed by the CORD leader, PM Raila Odinga in 2013, the attorney General was quick to become a friend of the courts, and managed to sway the decision of the highest court in favor of Mr. Kenyatta.

Mr. Muigai also argued the case against the transition authority and its replacement with a committee that is beholden to the government, when it comes to responsibility for a devolved government.

More recently, Mr. Muigai spoke at the Assembly of States Parties to the ICC, and at the Status conference at The Hague, as if through a throat of metal, in his defense of Mr. Kenyatta’s refusal to have his financial statements submitted to the ICC’s Office of The Prosecutor, to show his behavior in 2007 chaos in Kenya. Should we go on?

The bottom line is that devolution, personified by all 47 Governors, must not fail. Our attitude is that Mr. Kenyatta does not really understand how serious this is. He defeated the Kenyan Supreme Court; he also appears to have defeated the International Criminal Court. He will never defeat the Kenyan people in 2017.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

How do I restore my computer to an earlier time when the “Restore” feature on my computer is not working. I have tried over a dozen times to restore my computer and I keep getting the error message “computer could not be restored to this date. No changes have been made. Try another date.” Try another date the same thing happens.. . All of my personal files were deleted from my computer and I want to get them back. Have no clue how this happened. Checked the recycle bin and none of them were there. It is as if they simply disappeared off my computer. Please help. Thank you!.

I’m curious how creative writing instructors at colleges and universities handle students who write about really disturbing things and who seem potentially dangerous to themselves and others? Are instructors privy to students’ mental health records? Do they let such students get away with violent or disturbing writing in an effort NOT to stir too much trouble? Do you become proactive in trying to help these students? Do you undergo training to deal with problem students? As a creative writing student at a university, I often see disturbing stuff brought into workshops. I’m wondering what the profs think of all this. Thanks to any answers!.

I have a great interest in computer and aircrafts, especially military aircrafts. I am planning to do computer engineering and be involved in the designing of military aircrafts (aircraft’s computer).. I need to know whether the US Air Force needs computer engineers and if yes, will a computer engineer be wearing uniform and do they have military ranks ?.
